US Treasury Sales

Stocks fell as did bonds today.  The major mover was the Dollar which gained one cent against the Euro.  Oil gained over a Dollar which was a surprise.  Gold and Gasoline went sideways.

Bond Auctions

Stocks jumped upward to new near term highs today – on exuberant enthusiasm – nothing much else.
Gold started back up, and Oil and gasoline jumped massively – only speculation could cause the volatility we have seen in the past two days in the energy futures market.

Market Vs. FED

Stocks moved sideways today, as did the Dollar.
Bonds started a rally today with decreasing interest rates.  This was caused by a successful auction of new Treasury Notes, and this satisfied the fears expressed last week on a great new supply of Treasuries being issued.
